Shrager & Sachs, a personal injury law firm in Philadelphia, Pa., Announced a $ 1,000 scholarship for freshmen. It is an opportunity for students who deserve the opportunity to pursue higher education and achieve their goals. Individuals planning to attend undergraduate or graduate school and current freshmen can apply for the scholarship. Shrager & Sachs started helping students in 2019 and continued to do so in 2021 as well. They are accepting applications for the fall semester of 2021 through July 16, 2021. Eligible applicants may submit an essay of 500 words or more on the subject provided by the sponsor.
The scholarships are awarded to talented students who are academically accomplished in their respective educational programs. With the cost of tuition fees constantly changing, scholarships have become a necessity, especially for students from poorer backgrounds, so that they can pay for their education to receive diplomas and/or degrees. Students can easily accumulate debt when they apply for student loans from banks and agencies to pay their expenses. With scholarships, this burden can be reduced so that students can focus on their studies.

Who May Be Eligible
- First-year college students in an undergraduate or graduate program

- Transfer students can also be eligible if they are new to a particular school
How to Apply
Eligible candidates can submit 500 words or more essay in MLA format, which also includes works cited page. The essay must be about a time when students had a “Proustian memory”. The winner will be selected based on the creativity, clarity, uniqueness, and thoughtfulness of the essay. The application must include an acceptance letter that shows the college letterhead or other acceptable proof, the essay, and a short bio. Students have the option to include a photo to go with the bio. In the body of the email, the following details are needed: Name, address, phone number, and where you plan to go to school. The subject line should read your name and follow with: “Fall 2021 Scholarship”.

The $1,000 Scholarship awarded to first-year College students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate courses can be used towards education. This amount can be used for tuition, books, lab fees, rooms, boarding, etc.
