Colorado Future Woman Pilot Scholarship

The Colorado Chapter of the Ninety-Nine announced the Colorado Future Woman Pilot Scholarship, which awards $ 2,500 to each of Colorado’s female pilots to earn their master pilot certificate. This certificate can be intended for the recreational pilot, sport pilot, or private pilot and is awarded for flights and flight instruction in any type of aircraft such as glider, airplane, hot air balloon, etc. To be eligible for the Colorado Future Woman Pilot Scholarship, applicants must be female, received training in Colorado, have a student pilot certificate, have traveled solo on an airplane, and have logged at least ten hours of flight. All requests must be submitted to the organizer by April 30, 2021.

Colorado Ninety-Nines is part of the International Organization of Ninety-Nine Women Pilots which promotes the advancement of aviation through scholarships, education, and mutual support while honoring its unique history and sharing a passion for flying. On September 28, 1941, the Colorado Chapter was incorporated, and since then the Chapter has amassed nearly 150 members, making it the largest chapter in the organization. They have monthly meetings on the second Saturday of each month, which is usually in the bush. Evans Lounge in the Rocky Mountain Metro Airport terminal. However, sometimes this meeting place differs which is notified in advance by the newsletters. The members of Ninety-Nines work together as a group and are known to support other female pilots.

Who May Be Eligible?

Benefits

The Colorado Future Woman Pilot Scholarship awards two $2500 scholarships for each of the selected women pilots in Colorado so that they can complete their primary pilot certificate.
