Carol E. Macpherson Memorial Scholarship for Undergraduates

A memorial scholarship was announced in the name of Carol E. Macpherson. The scholarship approval committee will use the following criteria to award the scholarships: a well-written personal statement, two strong reference letters indicating educational goals and academic promises, and proof of past academic achievement. This scholarship is available to any student identified as a woman with a gap of at least five years in educational career and who demonstrates financial need as determined by the FAFSA. There are additional considerations that are not necessary, such as obtaining a first university degree and/or the first generation of the family to attend university (parents/guardians do not have a four-year university degree. years).

The scholarships are awarded to talented students who have achieved academic results in educational programs. With the cost of tuition fees constantly changing, scholarships have become a necessity for students from poorer backgrounds to pay for their education to receive diplomas and/or degrees. The scholarships are also beneficial for those who are facing financial issues, lifestyle issues, and/or returning to school after an extended period of time. The amount awarded is intended to be used for education-related expenses and, depending on the type of scholarship, may be renewed. Also, it can be used for living expenses such as food and travel expenses. Students can easily get into debt while taking out loans for their studies, and rewards like these aim to reduce that burden so that students can focus on their studies.
